Installed a 4,5000 $ rhino junk deck and will be tearing it off my 295,000.00 two story home after two years. if anybody else uses this product from mastermark industries they should be made aware that they have just thrown their money away. the deck is installed on the east side of our home and recieves ample sun at least 8 hours a day durring the summer. we have been getting alot of black patches on both the flooring and the railings.

we were told it was a mold problem, have had the deck professionally power washed and treated with clorox outdoor, this removes the mold and black spots for about two weeks then they reappear.

we have had the deck washed again and now the railings are pitted and rough, probably to much power washing.

Our contractor who installed the deck is so afraid of us suing him that he offered to replace the deck.

I told him NO ******* way it is not his problem but Mastermarks.

i was thinking of putting this stuff around my pool, No way I will use pressure treated wood.

Built my deck with this sh*t Rhino Deck material. Few months later, the posts cracked. Complained with manufacturer, and they send me new posts, and explained me the batch I have was off-spec. Who is going to fix this, and who is going to pay to get it fixed ? A year later, the plastic brackets, that keep the boards bolted to the foundation, also cracked after a deep winter. Some of the boards are loose now. In addition, the deck is getting faded (less than 3 years old!!!). I feel frustrated, because I spent 4X the price of a wood deck thinking I would not have maintenance issues for the next 10 years. Never crossed my mind I would have to rebuild the deck ever again. WHAT A DISGRACE
